 Hi Everyone,
My name is Tommy Allen Taylor. Some of you may already know me because of past Group 101 films we have done together. I have created a new networking group for entertainers in North Carolina simply called North Carolina Actors.

Unlike the name, membership is open to all entertainers in North Carolina working professionally. Professionally doesn't always mean paying. As you are already aware many independent filmmakers and community theatres rely on professional actors and crews to develop their works but due to budgets can not always pay their talent.
Much of my work was obtained thru auditions but also because someone I had worked with before recommended me for a job.
Therefore I have created this networking group for the sole purpose of networking. As long as it doesn't cost me to maintain the site, it will be free to all members. There are no contracts to sign. It's FREE....I am not an agent, I can not guarantee work.
All I can do is offer an opportunity.
This group was created to promote ourselves, talents and accomplishments. If you have a question about something, post it. You might not be the only person out there and somone else might be able to offer advice concerning your question.
The group was formed under the Film & Television category section of the MySpace community. After I joined up, I found several actors already on there but no PROFESSIONAL networking group.
To keep the group professional, I am moderating all members and postings. You must be a professional working in the entertainment industury (non-Adult, meaing "adult themed"), actors, singers, dancers, stuntment, directors, publicity agents, filmmakers, techies, wig-costume-makeup artist, etc.
The criterion for joining is you must be a professional working or have upcoming project in the state of North Carolina, you don't have to live here. You must have one photo (prefer professional head shot) in your photo file. People looking for talent want to be able to see your face. No "webcam", "bathroom mirror" or otherwise "suggestive or pornagraphic" pictures will be accepted.
Because the group is for men, women and children, I don't want anyone to feel offended or worry that their kids will see unappropriate photos.
In one hour I had 18 members. Within the first week I have had 64 independent film makers and artist join my little family.
