Actorfest may be coming to North Carolina |
|
 The producers of Actorfest are considering bringing Actorfest to North Carolina. As most actors know, Actorfest is an annual acting industry event (currently held in NY and LA) which brings together actors and other industry pros (agents, casting directors, etc) to learn, network and engage in activities to advance the careers of the actors.
Actors interested in giving their opinions and suggestions on whether or not Actorfest should be brought to NC are encouraged to take a short survey.
Any and every suggestions and opinions will be welcome. |

 I am interested in working on some projects with people in the Charlotte film community to get more production experience under my belt before launching my own feature in the spring/summer of next year. I currently live in Hartsville, South Carolina but I am willing to travel and volunteer my help to producers in the preproduction phase as well as working on the set.
I have an MFA in film from NYU and am teaching a film course at Coker College, but haven't been on a movie set in a while.
I am particularly interested in helping on HD projects.

The Charlotte Film Festival is looking for actors of all types for a TV commercial to promote its 2007 event.
The shoot will take place the fourth week of July.

Open Auditions for Production Training DVD |

Wilmington, NC --
An excellent opportunity for widespread exposure -- looking for an ensemble cast for an instructional DVD which will be nationally and internationally-distributed. The topic is Audio Basics, the basics of recording film audio.
Need men and women, 21-30, and men 35-50.
Actors will fill multiple roles in breakaway comedy/film parody sketches. Will also be looking for a primary host.
Principal shooting will be mid-July, local to Wilmington. Each actor will probably be required for 2-3 shooting days.
Compensation will be $150 total, with provided meals and disc credit.
Auditions will be held at Connections Internet Cafe, 250-1 Racine Dr, Wilmington, in Racine Commons, near Fat Tony's.
Mon 7/2 -- 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Fri 7/6 -- 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Please prepare a short comedic monologue. We'll also have you read a short piece.

Stormcatcher Films, LLC is seeking crew for their third feature film. Their first film, Dark Harvest, is currently available through worldwide distribution by Lion’s Gate Home Entertainment. Their second film, The Feeding, premiered on the SciFi Channel in July 2006 and was also released by Lion’s Gate Home Entertainment later this year. Stormcatcher Films, LLC has begun pre-production on their third project, which is scheduled to begin shooting in August 2007.
The project is an independent feature that will require a commitment of 25 shooting days. A wide variety of positions are available, including but not limited to:

Actors needed for training video - paid position |
|
Two actors are needed for a manager's training video.
Male - 40s - no facial hair - clean cut
Female - mid-twenties to mid-thirties - African American or Latino
Both must speak English without an accent of any kind.
The shoot is on Saturday, February 24 in Rock Hill, SC
Total work time: 6 - 8 hrs.
Compensation: $75 (day pay)
Other benefits: Copy of footage for reel.
